The preparation of Picture Album before printing: production process

The first thing we need to prepare is the Text and Image scheme.

Generally speaking, some manufacturers will have their own staffs who are responsible for editing and proofreading, also can give some suggestions for the program. Customers could do it on your own, but the staffs have more experience. Therefore, it is best to submit the fixed version of the text and images directly to the suppliers for printing. That’s convenient for manufacturers make it better than submitting general information.

In addition to text and pictures, we also need to have a basic concept of typesetting these things. Although the printer has experience, we need to have an estimated perfect effects  to present this album.

For example, we know where content should go and where to put the images should make it  important & popular. Visual Feast, this is directly related to the completion of the album printing, so must pay most attention to. Some of the details we need to design, such as color font choosing and fonts using, which need concrete implementation. This will affect the length of the article and the thickness of the album.

We also need to have a basic idea of the overall tone of the album printing, like the theme of the album, whether it should choose the warm or cool color style appropriately.

The process of making an album before printing:

1. Conceive, design, arrange, plan and prepare materials.

2. Use Photoshop to edit pictures, including modification, color correction, stitching, etc.

After processing, it must be converted to 300 dpi cmyk tif or eps file.

3. Make graphics with vector software and store them as eps files of cmyk.

4. Compile text files using a plain text compiler.

5. When all the materials are ready, use typesetting software to assemble them.

6. Solve the overprinting problem in printing.

7. Proofread and correct errors.

8. Test output availability using the posts-script printer.

9. Ready to output files, including platform, software, files, fonts, font list, location and output requirements, etc.

10. Copy all documents (including the fonts used) into the MO or CDR, and send them along with the output documents to the output company.
